For some Manitoba immigrants, coming to a new place means leaving loved ones behind – and the cost of reuniting can be high. That’s why four years ago, two kids from Russell Manitoba began fundraising to help pay the ways for kids hoping to call Canada home.
Daniella Ponticelli joined the CTV Winnipeg news team in March 2014, as a contract video journalist. The dynamic role puts the teachnically trained journalist on both sides of the camera - shooting, reporting and editing full stories on a daily deadline. It also placed Daniella right in the action: during summer 2014, she reported on 25 regional stories including flooding in southwest and central Manitoba. Now, as a permanent part-time VJ, Daniella works to refine her skills and develop further in other roles, including:
